Version 1.6 released!

Finally, after far too long, 1.6 has been released. There are numerous IMPORTANT changes, and upgrade notes. Please see the upgrade notes here as well as the changelog. Then, head on over to the files section and nab the latest version of your favorite mod!

Bug in distributed config files

If your server keeps falling back to FFA mode, even though your game type is set to something else, you need to change the line:
set sc_gametype 0
to read
set sc_gametype ""
in your scta/scq3a config file.

Problems getting SCTA/SCQ3A to run?

The last release of SCTA (1.5) was before the 1.29/1.30 point release, where a certain setting on the command-line was not needed (Windows). This is no longer the case (ALL versions). You need to modify your startup batch/shell file to include
+set vm_game 0
or SCTA/SCQ3A will NOT load. To verify that SCTA/SCQ3A is running, type
sc_version
in the console, and verify that it returns the current version you have installed. If it doesn't, it's not loaded.

SCTA 1.6d9
|

I've put SCTA 1.6d9 in the beta directory. It fixes a couple of things that should have been fixed months ago (sorry!). This version is basically the 1.6 release-candidate. If this version proves to be good, it'll go on to become 1.6 and the 1.6 beta cycle will (finally) end. MAKE SURE to check out the newcvars1-6.txt in the beta directory for information on what's new/changed. http://scta.reqoning.com/beta/
